ABOUT ME

What can I say? I was caught in the rat wheel of a life and career in London for 10 years, but something always didn't sit right. In my youth (NOT that I'm old) I'd been very ill and missed out on lots of usual aspects, like travelling. I had a big travel bug itching my feet, so I had a 5 year plan, which all went to plan, either through luck or hard work. Actually, a LOT of hard work. I set myself up a bit, the market turned to rubbish in the UK, so I quit my job and I'm now on a mission to see the world. Starting with all of Latin America which I LOVE! The culture, the language, the country. No where else have I yet seen such diversity across the whole spectrum of life. I have a sneaky feeling I may settle down on this continent somewhere. I just need to keep doing a little more research.....(i.e. travelling!). Couch surfing is my next research assist tool. Please help by showing me your way of life!

PHILOSOPHY

I've been poor, and for a 5 year period of my life I was relatively rich. And you know what I realised? Money isn't everything. You generally either work too hard, suffer stress, have no time, and can't therefore enjoy the money. OR you have plenty of time but no money to enjoy yourself. What I realise now, is that I can have the nest of both world by living a simple life, meeting like minded people, living cheap, and just sharing amazing experiences with new friends.
Life isn't a dress rehearsal. The curtain is up,so make sure you give the best performance you can.

If you saw the mix of music on my iPod (well, before it was stolen that is!) you'd realise my tastes are pretty diverse. I'm never really up to date on music. I think I'm about 5 years behind the times usually. But I get there in the end!
And yes. I can read....

Wow! Such a little box. I guess this depends on the person. I tend to like to get stuck in. I hang-glided when I was 10, went in an aerobatic plane a few years later. I've done the largest bungey jump in the World (at the time) at 270m. I've dived to 41m. I recently qualified for a solo licence to Paraglide. I've stood atop the highest active volcano in the world. I've been to the Northern most edge of South America. I've sailed down the Amazon to the largest City in the World with no road access. I've straddled the Ecuator. I've swam in the highest navigable lake in the world (and instantly regretted it!) I've been to the edge of the second deepest canyon in the world. I've stared into the eyes of a Bull Elephant in the wild. I've seen the big 5 game animals all in one day. I've seen good times, I've seen bad times (which make me appreciate the good). I'm living the dream.....
