life is short and every second counts - We have a very finite period of time in which to learn and do new things. As a result I am going to work and live abroad so that I can make new memories and challenge myself

ABOUT ME

My personal philosophy is to live life in the moment, stand up for what you believe in and live your own life (this means not being self concious and being the person you are meant to be & taking control of your destiny)

There are two reason which have lead me to take this leap and travel abroad. Firstly, psychologically I need to overcome the hurdle of fear - in particular fear of the unknown and to do so, I need to go life abroad and experience life on my terms. Secondly, after living in one city for the majority of my life thus far I strongly feel that it is time to see what else is out there and to go on an adventure that will shape my views on society and the world. But more pertinently
I am a conscientious and confident person who enjoys meeting new people and challenging myself but for me to truly understand my place in the world and to get a better understanding of who I am, I really need to undertake a new challenge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a hard-working individual who has a 'can do' attitude, I have a positive outlook on life and I belief in self development in all faculties of ones life. That aside I am also very competitive and I thrive on the idea of finding solutions in all respects.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the idea of couch surfing and I have no idea what to expect but I am none the less very excited about the idea and I really look forward to meeting new people and experiencing new places.

Interests

I am very interested in business & commerce - I would really like be an entrepreneur and start my own businesses, I aim to get a job to pay the bills and then use any surplus funds to fund new ventures. It would be great to have the freedom to exploit fluctuations in the market that create profitable opportunities. More importantly I don't want to be in a position where I am dependant on a boss to survive. Secondly I really enjoy travelling - I still want to see Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mozambique, Namibia & Israel. Thirdly I really enjoy sport - I love surfing, rugby, cricket, golf and tennis. Finally I am very interested in philosophy & religion, this stems from my life time path to continually grow,develop and improve where possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have witnessed a wonderful county full of commodities and natural resources capable of great success on the international scene squander their resources and destroy a proud nation. On the contrary to the devastation this causes I have seen individuals like Helen Zille, Mogan Tsvangirai & Michael Campbell stand up and fight for what they believe in without any reservation, despite being the under dogs in decidedly destitute battle. This depicts the triumph of the human spirit which inspires me to be a better person.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - I have developed an advanced understanding in the areas of finance, history and management. I can also teach computer literacy skills, written & verbal communication skills and I have a sound understanding of the fundamental principles pertaining to new ventures.
Learn - I would love to learn a new language (particularly French or Italian) , I would also love to learn web design skills and music production techniques and software.
Share - I really enjoy vibing with people (developing rapport), experiencing their world and having fun
