About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Know people, know world..! If you cannot travel all around the world, it is wise to invite it to your place!

ABOUT ME

Well, I am a computer engineer working in telecommunication for 7 years and living in Kadikoy, Istanbul. I was born in the southest westest part of Turkey, a touristic place called Datça. I love meeting&talking&knowing different people from all around the world in order to have more more more fun.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm.. I do not get angry somehow.. I can't. I do not mind anything at all actually. Simply trying to find the optimistic subject from a bad situation and to make people happy at my place. But, I may not control myself while watching a football match hehe..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend whispered the name: CS...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several people mostly from Europe so far and try to create connection with them, showing around, make them feel like they are one of the citizens of my country. I tried to do my best to hang out with the surfers after working hours and during weekends... It is not just for them but also fun for me...

Interests

Hanging out with friends, PS4, beer, history, books, travelling, everything we do in the sea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of the books I loved: Lord of the Rings, Dragonlance, a little bit from Dan Brown Angels&Demons, the Da Vinci Code, Deception Point (unfortunaely he started to repeat himself while setting up the structure of the story), Twelve (from Jasper Kent) and some Turkish novals as well as history books.

For movies: Lord of the Rings (admit it, they are one of the best movies adapted from book:), Old Boy, Star Wars, Inception, and the other movies I have in my external hard disk.. lol they are too any..

Music: Hard rock, metal in all kinds except brutal vocals (the north knows how to do it), indie rock and Celtic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The road trip that I had completed (without any casualties :P) in Norway. We had no idea to see 2 meters long snow walls at both sides of the road in middle of Norway after wearing t-shirts in Oslo. Reaching to Bergen was not easy with a gasoline which was running out... Hard times..

However, the view I had seen was worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

When you come here, please ask me to go out to have some fun in places where local people hang out. Otherwise, you cannot see the real İstanbul!

I love to discuss history since history is not a complete inheritance of facts, but an interpretation of the historians reaching to our time. So, hearing world history from other cultures, becoming a great joy and experience for me.

Also, I can help you in terms of computer technology & programming if you are interested (but I don't think so ahahaha).

What I Can Share with Hosts

You can of course travel by yourselves in the touristic areas of Istanbul but I can offer the places where we as locals hang out... The best way to know a city is to know a local!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand
