About Me
ABOUT ME
I love being outside, especially in the sun!
I love travelling, meeting new people, different cultures, learning languages, tasting different food. I like to cook myself, even though it is probably not the "typical German cuisine" - I am vegetarian.... I try to life a more sustainable lifestyle, consuming less (and good quality) animal products, reducing the CO2 footprint (well, that is not easy with so much travelling...), reducing the waste I am producing. I am interested in different lifestyle and in how you see the world. I like (controversial) discussions, especially after a nice dinner and with a nice drink (unfortunately I don't like beer to much, even though I am German... But I love wine!).
I am a very easy, adaptable person, who likes to chat, to go out, but also to rest sometimes. When I ask you for a couch, all I need is a small place to sleep - mostly I even travel with my sleeping bag and mattress. It will be nice, if you have some time and advises to share about your city. But even if not - I will be glad to get to know you a bit more!
PHILOSOPHY
Try it! Usually it works out quite well :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been living in Tanzania for one year and have made my first, awesome couchsurfing experiences there! Besides that I have been around with work and travel, staying at peoples houses and helping them with their workload in Romania and Italy.
One week couchsurfing in Naples showed me couchsurfing's best sides - I never thought there are so many so nice couchsurfers in just one city! And even hitch hiking through eastern Europe (Stuttgart-Istanbul) I always found some spontaneous, gorgeous, greatful and friendly hosts and couches as well as enriching other surfers.
When I came to Lyon for my ERASMUS exchange and tried to find a couch to stay for the first days, to have the time to look for an apartment. I found a great host, living in a wonderful apartment with nice roommates in one of the greatest parts of the city! And last but not least, he offered me his roommates room for the time she is travelling with her work. I was incredibly lucky!
I never ever had a bad experience couchsurfing!
Interests
Being outside, doing sports: riding, white water kayaking, running, inline skating, biking! Enjoying a great day outside! Camping, sleeping in a hammock, having a bonfire... looking into the stars - a perfect holiday.
Relaxing with friends, cooking and eating together, share and exchange ideas, plans, projects.... Sharing abilities, food, knowledge and information. I don't like to get lonely!
Visiting new places, meeting new people, understanding different cultures. I am glad somebody invented couchsurfing!

Volunteering and living one year in Tanzania, and working with renewable energies
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to share travel experiences. Every time I come back from a journey, I have the head full of new ideas, where to go, what to do, what to see and what to learn.
By being open minded you can learn so many things from other people.
