About Me

Hi! I've been in LA long enough to call it my home. Though I have a design degree, I've been a community organizer for the past couple of months especially working on issues surrounding the housing and homelessness crisis that we are currently facing in LA. I'm really involved in local politics and obviously love to talk about it, but I'm also a big design nerd, enjoy watching movies, snowboarding, and love to go on hikes with my dog as much as I can. I've been lucky enough to be able to travel around the world quite a bit in my life and lately I've been focusing more on traveling throughout the US - which I didn't realize for a long time was so damn stunning!

In my free time I like to check out the absolutely-delicious local restaurants around LA, hit up bars, hang out with friends, go see a movie, or go to underground dance parties.

While I'm a very passionate individual, I am also very grounded and relaxed in my habits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like meeting new people and sharing ideas. I have met some really fantastic people travelling around the world and am excited to continue doing that.

Throughout my travels, the best experiences have come from people who have been generous enough to share their time, knowledge, experiences, and homes with me. I figured why not return the kindness to other travelers?

Down to hang out with you in LA. It's also cool if you're just looking for a place to crash.

Interests

I'm a pretty open-minded person. I mostly enjoy learning from passionate individuals. I would say that the things that I am currently most focused on are my little dog Fuschia, hiking, snowboarding, housing and homelessness in LA, and local politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm trying to get more into cumbia. My favorite album of 2019 was Mujeres by Y La Bamba. The last movie I saw that I really enjoyed was Booksmart. Currently reading The Revolution Will Not be Funded about the non-profit industrial complex.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about the local political scene, how to speak a few other languages, and take you around LA. Hoping to learn general things about other people's lives and silly little anecdotes and experiences.

Totally willing to exchange books, movies, music, art with people as well as interesting conversations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll fill your gas tank and take you out for a meal!
