About Me

Hi there, my name is Tabea and I am currently studying in Environmental Geosciences Trier. I'm always up for a good meal (homecooked and in restaurants) or a drink. My favourite season is winter, for sure, there's nothing better than a walk in the snow and bundling up in warm sweaters. Also Christmas.
During the past few years, I've had my fair share of travel experinces and living abroad. After my graduation from school I did a volunteer year in Belarus (such an underrated country), helping with the German leassons in a local school. Thats when I first started backpacking and travelling on my own and I absolutely loved it.
Afterwards I started my studies in Aberdeen (Scotland), where I lived for a year, before I decided to transfer to a university back home in Germany.
I enjoy spending time in the nature, going on a hike and being a complete nerd about geology, soils and stuff like that. I like to play board and card games with friends and I love watching amost kinds of sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and discover new places. As I often travel alone, I decided to join couchsurfing to be able to connect with people abroad and get secret tips for my trips. I enjoy sharing my own (travel) experiences and stories and love hosting people from all around the world. I am currently living in a shared flat, which makes it a bit harder to have people staying over. Feel free to ask anyway, I'll try to arrange something!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After I graduated, I joined an international summer camp organised by the Lions Club in Romania where I met amazing people from all around Europe. We became really close friends in just a few days. Two weeks later I spontaneously drove to the Netherlands to meet two of them again. We spent some amazing days together, nearly drove through the whole Netherlands and visited the most interesting places. One of the best experiences in my life so far. I am still in touch with them and since then have visited one of them in Italy. I'm more than sure that we'll meet again.
