Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have stayed with 2 hosts so far on our travels - a wonderful household of people in detroit who have become good friends of mine, and another great guy in chicago who lent us bikes, bike maps and gave us a tour of his favourite places in the city. Another friend made! This is a wonderful thing. I hope to be able to host one day!

Interests

I've been working as a sustainable architect and just got fully qualified, but the things that exite me most involved building and making structures myself, with friends, out of wood or found materials. I set up a collective with friends making such structures at music and green festivals in the UK.
I love playing my fiddle, particularly folk music(I'm in a klezmer band) and I love swing dancing. I've recently got into long distance cycling too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiking from Mid Wales to Southern Spain in 2.5 days, with 2 female friends, all 3 of us dressed in wedding dresses - .
Building a giant land boat at Glastonbury festival - the junk boat - a completely renewably powered venue, complete with turf roof, rain water harvesting and a DC sound system.
I see amazing things every day! (today: delicate cherry blossom out of my window)
