Overview
About Me
I'm a German East African who went to university in Germany and Canada and have now been living in Israel with my partner for the last 4 years. I am actively involved in refugee and social causes and really, really enjoy the outdoors which is why I try to go hiking regularly. I also organize events for a global expat network (internations.org) such as food tours, cultural nights out, mingling events, hikes and more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to offer a safe, free option for people who want to travel, maybe can't afford to stay in a hostel or who just want to stay with someone local. Generally speaking, my sense of orientation and public transportation is...terrible - so that's where my partner would come in ;)
Interests
Dancing, hiking, sports, beach, travelling, potlucks, game nights, movies, reading, fine arts (opera, ballet)...
My partner is also an adamant singer (A-capella) so beware of random outburts of song!

What I Can Share with Hosts
My partner and I live very close to the beach and the Shuk HaCarmel (the main market) and overall very central. He studies Arabic and Psychology and I have a job and am with the UNHCR. We are both very social and active so we're usually out and about, organizing or partaking in one thing or another. We know the city really well so we'd be happy to share that with you.
