ABOUT ME

Hi there!

I’m a traveler by heart. And couch surfing gave my trips an amazingly personal perspective on my travel destinations, people and a new insight into my own self.
I'm an open and communicative person, a coffee-addict who loves meeting people and getting to know interesting places. If you appreciate delicious baked goods you're already my friend!
I was born and raised in Berlin, I love spontaneous trips (like breakfast in Prague, or biking to a brewery in another U.S. state :-) and can't stay for a long time in one place, always have to move... I just recently moved back to Berlin, after having spent the last 5 years living in Chicago and exploring North America.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want something in your life you've never had, you'll have to do something you've never done.

I love spending my time outdoors (hiking, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, watching the moon) as well as walking around cities in the sun, riding my bike, yoga, meditation, baking, breakfast!!!, visiting museums and spending the day in a coffee shop with friends or a good book and enjoying the evening with a drink in a bar/pub, farmers markets, music concerts, book stores, contemporary art exhibitions and most of all: traveling!

Books: sooo many! a few examples that I can think of: travel stories (Shantaram, Fatu Hiva, Life of Pie, and lots of Mark Twain), American short stories, Russian classics (i.e. Bulgakov) and some non-fiction examples: Invisible Women, Behave

I'm a baker by heart. And a breakfast enthusiast. Be prepared for some delicious baked treats. I also love to share my many travel stories. And in winter I'm usually traveling with spices to prepare some German Glühwein.
