About Me

Optimistic, open minded, following opportunities that happen to appear.
I like to talk about wildlife, nature. It is big part of my life.
When im traveling almost everything people care about interests me, because that helps me to understand culture, whats important to them. I like to see how different views people might have and how simillar they actually might be. I like to try out new things, to meet new people. Couch surfing for me is about meeting you. And sometimes having a shower...
Freedom is what i seek. For now i think more time you have more free you are. I was born not to work to get money to be able to rent a flat that i could work. I want to improve with each step i make and mistakes are also improvement. Some mistakes are worth to be repeated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people in places im traveling to. Think this is one of the best ways to see how people actually are living in different part of the world. Hot meal and shower for conversation is also big advantage.

Interests

Photography, nature conservation, wildlife, wood carving.
I usually have my camera with me, but people always are a bit surprized when they see that most of the pictures are with birds, mammals, plants and etc. So yeah. Im probably nature geek...
Wood carving is what relaxes me, helps me to think things out. Sometimes its just a way to rest from the things happening arround and let yourself concentrate on one thing - not cutting my fingers with knife.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book thief (book), Volden (book). Rock, blues, jazz, clasic, some metal, folk.
I ve been far from reading not scientific things past few years, but i came back to the right road. Now im rarely not having book with me.
Music i tend to listen more on long nights of winter. And what i listen depends purely on my mood. Or i create mood with music. In spring and summer there are plenty of birds to listen to. Yea again nature geek...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ve been born. Thank you mom! I ve done that.
I ve never seen any human to be born though...
I ve seen few animal births. Hope this does not sound creepy...
Just its too hard to choose one... Have you seen lynxes playin in breeding season? Have you ever spent 3nights in a row under bright night sky listening to owls? Did you ever pet bison? Sorry again nature stuff...

Teach, Learn, Share

Wood carving, nature philosophy, mammals, birds, amphibians.
Im not enciklopedia so animals from different countrys might be mistery to me, but i always enjoy hearing stories about encounters with wildlife. And if you want to know what was there that stole your peanuts in Japan we can both try to google it.
If you want to carve yourself a spoon have some broadleaf wood prepared, sharp knife and half oval chisel would be nice. Having your medicine kit near by might be good idea.
I always can teach useful and meaningful lithuanian phrases. Like do you know what polar bears are good for?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Im kinda good at fixing things. Some knowledge in plumbing, electricity, carpentry. If you have something that needs to be fixed i can try not to make it worse.
I think i can cook pretty well. People say its good. Want to try some lithuanian cousine?

Countries I’ve Visited

Belarus, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
