ABOUT ME

Living in Denver with my girlfriend and my dog. We live in Park Hill (on the East Side of Denver) right off of the 20 bus line which goes into Downtown. I am in my fourth year of medical school and applying to residency in Rural Family Medicine. So, mostly wrapping up medical school and looking at different programs. Enjoying some down time.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life on purpose.

Also, to quote Paruasemena: "I was born on the prairie where the wind blew free and there was nothing to break the light of the sun. I was born where there were no inclosures [sic] and where everything drew a free breath. I want to die there and not within walls. "

I have never surfed or hosted, but I have met people for drinks/coffee and other such things.

Backpacking, The Great Plains, the West, Rugby, travel, kayaking, fishing, Russia, ranching, snowshoeing, X country skiing, reading, being moderately radical, ordering meat in fractions of an animal, pieces of knowledge considered by most to be useless and uninteresting, dive bars, places most people find depressing.

Books: The Four Pillars of the Post-Apocalyptic Genre: Earth Abides, The Stand, Alas, Babylon, On The Beach. The Great Plains, On the Rez, Trinity, The Source, Grasslands, World War Z. I am also giving great praise for American Nomads at the moment. I have also recently been increasing my level of appreciation for Timothy Egan, that man knows his country.

Horse knowledge, Russian language, knowledge about the former USSR, the Great Plains, and the American West. I guess I can add to this now that I know a fair about medicine diseases, but just enough to be dangerous.
