Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To understand our amazing world and everything it has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I'm a very friendly, open-minded, and laid-back person. I like to laugh and have a good time with the people I meet. Sitting down, having a beer/coffee, and talking is fine by me!
I just completed my university degree and I'm looking forward to being able to travel. I will be going to the University of Ottawa next year for an MD.
Not sure what the future has in store for me but whatever it is I'll make the best of it!
PHILOSOPHY
As my mission statement says...
To understand our amazing world and everything it has to offer.
I love to meet new people, hear their perspective on things, and come to understand them. If everyone did this I think we could make the world a more tolerable and happier place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm unable to host at the moment since I'm traveling but I've answered people's questions about Toronto. I like to think the little things make big differences. :p
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hoping to start my experience this summer. Can't really host people at the moment because I don't have my own place. I will next year though!
Interests
Well, I'm Canadian so I love hockey. The Toronto Maple Leafs are my favourite team (unfortunately...) I play guitar a little bit too.
I like science, medicine, and Star Wars. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything that's inspirational and has a good meaning.
I hope to read a few books by the Dalai Lama in the future. I read a novel on Buddhism and found it very intriguing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering in the Philippines for 2 months was the best experience of my life. The people I met in Tacloban taught me so much and really changed my outlook on life. I no longer take what I have for granted.
Staying with friends in Hong Kong for 6 days. The Peak is a spectacular view! Drinking beers at Victoria Harbour until 4am while watching the building lights go off.
Eating Kobe beef in Japan was heavenly. I don't mean to turn off any vegans/vegetarians from reading my profile but it was the best meat I have ever tasted.
Meeting Ejoe Wilson (former Mariah Carey dancer) in the streets of Osaka randomly one night. The man introduced house music to Japan! Seriously, look him up.
Watching Japan vs. Netherlands World Cup match in Osaka and teaching the Japanese how us Canadians cheer when we're watching a big game.
Watching Muay Thai matches in Bangkok, Thailand.
Living with my friend Peter Vo's family in Vietnam. We stayed in their small fishing village and got to experience true Vietnamese culture.
Couchsurfing with Pateriki in Raglan, New Zealand and learning about Maori culture and history first-hand. Tried surfing for the first time.
Going down a 7m waterfall on a 4.5m raft while whitewater rafting and flipping it in Rotorua, New Zealand.
Doing AJ Hackett's Thrillogy (bungee jumping) in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Going to the All Blacks vs. Wallabies game in Christchurch, New Zealand.
More to come...
