About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live, Laugh, Learn and Give while exploring the world!

ABOUT ME

I've recently returned to Kansas and am loving it! Somethings about me will always be the same: I love to travel and go on adventures. I'm a bit of a history geek. I try to be a good friend. My favorite city in the states is Chicago, in Europe it is Edinburgh. I'm fairly good at seeing the whole picture in situations.

*note: I have recently taken inventory of my life and realized that my goal of 30countries by the 30th birthday is far from achieved! This means that I'll be traveling as frequently as possible in the next 2 years. And that means that I'll be couchsurfing pretty regularly! Can't wait to meet you!!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in the now. I try not to regret the past, because it has helped to shape who I am. I like myself and if I feel something needs to be changed I know it will happen in time.

Travel philosophy: Let the trip happen! Don't over plan, just be in a place and let life take it's course.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm completely, 100% on board with the idea. I've hosted and surfed several times. Each time is fun and exciting. In general it seems that couch surfers are all of the same cut of cloth. We're travelers and adventures in search of new experiences and knowledge. For the most part we just want to share what we've learned.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am both the surfer and the host. I really love it! As a person who travels often, it's nice to see so many others share my passion! My over-all opinion is that other members are much like me and good people.

Interests

Art, Singer/Songwriters, Tamora Pierce books, Classic novels, Travel (anywhere, everywhere!) and new ideas, especially something that will really make a difference. And Hospitality!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On January 4th 2008 I witnessed a child say his first word! I was the most amazing experience of my life. I will never be the same. The only thing that will top that is when it's my own child!
On August 13th 2009 I took another great step against my fear of heights by taking a zipline tour! It was AWESOME.
On May 23rd 2010 I was forced by my so-called friends to ride to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago... and then they made me stand out on the glass floored observation deck! It was terrifying and I nearly cried, but I can safely say that it's one step closer to controlling my fear.
