Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm an architecture student from Istanbul! I'm here in United States for a semester, as an exchange student at Auburn University. Apart from the fact that its my job/field of study, I really love architecture and visiting places that I can see the buildings of my favorite designers like John Lautner, Alvar Aalto and Eero Saarinen. I do consider myself as a very open minded person and I'm really up to mostly everything. I enjoy good music, good wine with a nice person to have a good conversation and aesthetics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hate being a tourist.
I mean, I love traveling but in recent years I just realized that getting stuck in a hotel room with a "toruistic" map that's been given to my hands is not really for me. I'm trying to meet as many people as I can and have the real local experience. (And it's sad that I only discovered Couchsurfing in this last 2 months)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Dire Straits. Thanks to my dad, I get to chance to know them. I especially love Sultans of Swing and Brothers in Arms. I also listen to Sting, U2, R.E.M., Deep Purple and Tennis. Although ı usually listen to classic/progressive rock, indie and alternative pop; I mostly listen to anything depending on my mood.
I love Tom Ford's "A Single Man" and "Nocturnal Animals" especially, I liked the use of color and architecture combined with cinematography - that was really impressive. Indie movies are generally cool.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My friends tell me that I'm a great cook! I can cook most of the Turkish and Italian cuisine, and I really enjoy how people react to the things that I've cooked.
