We are a community of artists that curate meaningful experiences within India. The space where I host is our proto-type camping hostel called La-Makaam (Arabic for No destination)

What is La Makaam ?
We are India’s first camping hostel and wish to further the camaraderie and close association of camping cities in medieval India.

ABOUT ME

I am a story-teller. I use Film, photo, writing and mixed media to tell stories. I am fascinated by stories of dreams and everyday life. I believe that life is beautiful and there is so much to see if you have the eye for it. I am learning to play djembe and love to try various sports and fun activities like juggling etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Life has no meaning, it is we who make it meaningful. For me my life is about happiness and love. I believe happiness is all around us in abundance. Love has no boundaries and I think it is only love that can make us human, that can give us peace.

WHY HOST ME ?

I can teach you photography ( mobile and DSLR) . I love to talk about philosophy. I am really good at listening. Can make good food ( both veg and non veg) . I know a lot of stories, so maybe can tell make you fall asleep with good stories :) . Most of the people that I meet become my life long friends and I believe I can see the good in people. Also, if your story interests me, you get featured on my YouTube :)

Why are we at CS ?

We are here to learn from what the CS community has to offer. We have had the privlledge to host some really amazing people who made us their family and taught us so much about life. We love the energy that travellers get to our space.

Who do we host ?

We like to host only long terms hosts. So if you are coming to Agra just to see Taj then most probably we will not be interested in hosting you. But if you are actually looking to see the city beyond its touristy monuments and are looking to be a part of community life then we will be happy to host you. As such there is no bar on how many days you can stay with us. We have had instances where people came for 2 days but ended up staying for 20 days and we totally loved it. So we are looking for people who are on a journey, not really tourists.

We will be happy to host people who want to collaborate with us. So if there is something on your mind for Agra/India please get in touch.

Planned two trips with parents, made them very happy. If you have ever travelled with your parents you will understand how complex that is :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

So we are a community of people that stays together. While at our place you will be expected to play your part in the community. There are a lot of roles that you can choose to perform, cleaning, making food, making music, teaching us some of your amazing skill etc. We are really open to that but we would like to host people who are willing to contribute to the community in some way.
