About Me

With a B.A. in English and Linguistics, I became a high school teacher in Tunisia in 2015. In 2017, I moved to the United States on a Fulbright scholarship to teach Arabic at the University of Pennsylvania. Now, I'm a Master's degree candidate in International Educational Development.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Broke grad student? lol

That, but also meeting new people and sharing cool experiences. I created this account while in the United States but I'm planning to continue using CS and hosting people once I'm back home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a particular music niche. Depending on my mood/time of the day/what's going on in my life, I could listen to classical/pop/rap/rock music. (Disclaimer: The order is purely coincidental!)
As a transition to the next section, I LOVE movies theme songs ("Now We Are Free" is something else!)

I enjoy watching movies with a plot twist. I compiled a list of these movies (while making sure I dodge the spoilers) and I can tell you that the experience of trying to guess the "unexpected" ending is so rewarding. You should try it out!
I particularly liked: Shutter Island, The Others, The Skeleton Key, Identity, Orphan. Any recommendations?

My taste in books is diverse. I like reading about politics/history, mostly medieval and second World War II. I like exploring new topics/fields, that's why I love encyclopedias!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For the history nerd I am, visiting Chichen Itza hands down. Which was actually a tease to visit the rest of the 7 world wonders, definitely the new and the old that are still standing. It's easy to tell which countries are on my bucket list.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I could teach you some cool phrases in the languages I speak
Learn: I'm always interested in learning how to make new dishes
Share: I can share a good conversation or an adventure

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico, Morocco

Countries I’ve Lived In

Tunisia, United States
