About Me
Hello everybody!
I consider myself a free spirit, easy going and always open to new and interesting experiences that allow me to learn and renew myself. I love nature and outdoor activities, making new friends, traveling and getting to know other cultures, food and places. I have a BA in Communications with a major in audiovisual production, in the past 6 years I have always been fortunate to work in my field, mainly as a teacher, activity that I feel very passionate about because it is an endless learning cycle.
I have lived most of my life in Tijuana a multi-faceted and lovely city (with the greatest street food and tacos!!) located in the northwest of Mexico. Nowadays I split my time between Tijuana (mostly for the holidays and vacation breaks) and Mexico city where I am a full time master’s degree student.
Since my early youth I have traveled around my country. I trully believe that you have to know yourself deeply in order to share with others, so I’ve decided to start at home, learning and discovering about my heritage. The geographic location of Mexico makes it a great to discover and enjoy different ecosystems. I'm always thrilled about the mayan archaeological sites located in the southern area of Mexico and all of the picturesque small towns in the heart of the country. However, beaches are always my very favorite spot. When I travel, one of the essentials is to do aquatic activities rather than sleep all day, and party all night. I personally prefer to just keep swimming, lay down in the sand at night with a clear sky and twinkling stars and imagine that it’s just me and the mother nature.
Personal Philosophy
I care about my wellness and still have faith in humanity. I always conduct myself thinking that I have to “Treat others the way I want to be treated”.
Even though each culture has their own peculiarities and I'm emphatic about diversity, I believe in universal values and I like to be surrounded by grateful, respectful, polite and humble people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling I'm always seeking to live the experience as a local not like an external agent wandering in a built scenery for tourists.
Share with local people provides "that thing" that you can't find in books or tourist booths.
