ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Taihei Matsumura. I am Japanese, 22 years old, male!
I am very outgoing, talkative, active, and love meeting new people.

I have lived in three different countries, Japan, America, and Wales, and study international business in order to learn cultural backgrounds between different people!
My ultimate goal is to work in an international environment where I can be with people from all around the world.

I am currently enjoying my final days in college, and will be working for an automobile company from April 2015!

PHILOSOPHY

I think to know and feel differences in people is very interesting. The way people think, the food people eat, the time they spend. It is all different, all beautiful. And to learn about these differences is what I live for.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am most informed about the city Tokyo, so if you come and visit, call me any time!
It's a wonderful city like nowhere else, where urban life, technology, peace, and culture coexist.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done couchsurfing in Hungary, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Austria!
I have also gone to Finland to stay in a village on a home stay program, to see the daily lives of the people there.

Interests

I love to exercise, and especially love to play soccer! I have played in a competitive environment ever since I was four. I played on the Cardiff University Football Team, for the 2012/13 season. As of now, I play once in a while for leisure and exercise.

I also love travelling, shooting films, fashion, cooking, and eating!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch films! In fact, I shoot films myself! I like Japanese films especially, ranging from love romance to animation, so please ask me if you are interested!

Music I like is Japanese rock, but I listen to a variety of songs. Right now I am into jazz piano music. I will be happy to learn music I am unfamiliar with :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mt. Fuji and seeing the sunrise from the top of the highest mountain in Japan. Absolutely fascinating.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I have lived in three continents and have travelled many times, I am very keen on culture. This is what I also study in university from a business perspective.

Also, I cook quite a lot, so I will be able to teach recipes to Japanese food!
