Overview
About Me
My name is Taisanna and I am 18 years old. I have traveled my entire life every summer to France for two months at a time to visit my family. I have a younger sister and parents who own multiple restaurants here in Los Angeles. Growing up, I have always been passionate about traveling as I have had much experience with it when I was younger.
I am a high school student who is about to graduate in June 2016. I attend an Internationale Lycee in Burbank California where students learn to be open minded, culturally diverse, and a little feminist. I plan on backpacking across Europe during the summer and next year, possibly with a few friends. We want to stay a couple weeks at a time in an area such as Greece and Italy, and explore. We are also willing to help out our hosts (service such as cleaning, cooking, etc) because of their accommodation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am interested in meeting new people. Couchsurfing is a fun and simple way to establish new connections. I am respectful and appreciative so I know couch surfing is a way for me to trade with another person for something else that they need, in terms of service or house aid. I am very communicative and social so I LOVE meeting new personalities from all around the world!!
Interests
I love the outdoors. I am interested in hiking, the beach, learning new jobs, and being really adventurous. I like stepping out of my comfort zones by doing water sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love indie, electro, classic rock, and modern day pop (so mostly anything). My favorite books are The Evolution Mara Dyer, Catcher in the Rye, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Kite Runner, The God of Small Things, The Dubliners, The Outsiders, and Little Chinese Seamstress. My favorite movies of all time are the ones I grew up with. These include the first and second Pirates of the Caribbean, Hannah, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Anna Karenina, The Revenant, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have traveled across the globe with my parents since I was little. I volunteer at homeless shelters in the Downtown area of Los Angeles, along with modeling for people with disabilities in order to help them launch themselves back into the work industry. These people use my photos as references and creative purposes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about literally anything. I currently work in a high class restaurant as a receptionist and hostess, with the online website known as OpenTable. I work alongside actors, celebrities, and others so I am very great at acclimating to different social situations, thus being very adaptative to any situation I am put in. I am interested in learning how to expand my knowledge in politics, hospitality businesses (hotels, restaurants, bar tending), marine life, survival skills, cooking, learning new languages, etc. I am able to also teach people how to speak English and / or French. I love to share my knowledge of multiple languages and the food service industry with people I meet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know a lot about nutrition and diet. I have great organizational skills and am really clean.
