About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fun.

ABOUT ME

I'm an Australian ginger who loves to surf (on waves (as well as couches)) and travel! I’m studying medicine at Griffith Uni on the Gold Coast... life here is too goooood and I can’t wait to share some of it with you! I am easy going, friendly, incessantly curious and I love to meet new people and learn about their life and their culture! I'm really passionate about outdoor pursuits and the environment, I love the ocean and mountains, I love good food (from all cuisines) and language and linguistics really interest me: Spanish and French are getting there, need to take up a new challenge soon! I am often quite quiet and enjoy reading, listening to music and interesting podcasts, but I also love to socialise, hang out with friends, go out (boogie) and meet new people! I also really care about my health: I like to eat healthy food and get up early to surf, swim or run.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply, keep learning, stay curious, enjoy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted quite a few people and during my travels I met heaps of awesome people and had so many incredible and unique experiences through couchsurfing!! I loved showing the surfers that I have hosted my own region, taking them on hikes and going surfing, I hope to host many more people and show them the best of my region, a paradise which I love! I'm also planning to use CS in all my future trips as it's the best way to experience a new place and culture!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and surfed quite a lot, probably in equal proportions... I've met so many awesome people through CS and plan to continue doing so :)

Interests

Surfing, skiing, music, playing guitar, running, football, reading, travelling, camping, scuba and snorkeling, hiking, foreign languages, meeting people and (of course) partying.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Not a massive movie person.

Music: Spotify is my life-source, always listening to new music... lots of indie, rock, deep house, disco... a little bit of everything.

Books: Anything people recommend to me, pretty varied diet !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surf trip from Seattle to Costa Rica with my brothers.

Living and training with Eliud Kipchoge and his marathon squad in Kenya.

Trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal

Surfing a lot of bucket list spots all over the world

Sleeping in a cave inside Petra, Jordan with a local Bedouin man I met.

Shark diving!

Hitch hiking from Istanbul to Paris for two months.

Boat trip on the amazon in a local cargo boat filled with chickens for two days.

Machu Picchu.

Climbing a snow capped volcano in southern chile with just one friend and seeing the sunrise over another volcano half way up! (Had a very near-death experience on the way down, but that's another story!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Surfing! Veg curries :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
