Hello CS community my name is Taj, like the Taj Mahal. I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada where I still reside and still enjoy the variety of outdoor activities that BC has to offer which includes snowboarding, biking, hiking, kayaking, etc.

I would consider myself as easy going and open minded but I have been described by friends as both very eccentric and super chill. I would say I'm the best of both worlds 😁

I am also an aspiring meditation and breathwork facilitator who tries to practice for myself everyday to encourage mindfulness and stay grounded in this beautiful but chaotic world 🌎

I learned about CS here while I was backpacking through Europe in the summer of 2022 and now I am in love with the community and I am very happy to be hosting people when I can.

For those wanting to surf with me, I welcome anyone who is wanting to connect and share travel stories. I am also open to driving around and showing you some cool/interesting spots in and around Vancouver.

I live in Burnaby so a 20-30min car ride from Vancouver which is where most people are coming to visit here for. I also do live with a roommate so it is a little compact with a third person coming in, so essentially only solo travelers are preferred and the longer in advance notice you can give the better 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet interesting locals and travelers to gain knowledge from their life lessons and learn about various cultures.

Initially I was just looking for free accommodation but having now surfed on peoples couches but also had the pleasure to host, I truly feel I am experiencing all that CS has to offer.

Lastly I teach meditation, breathwork, yoga, and bunch of other sub-modalities so if your interested i'm always happy to share my scientific and spiritual knowledge and maybe even go through some practices with you to help relief stress, boost energy, improve health, etc. 🧘‍♂️
