About Me

Born in Yokohama, Japan - grew up mostly in northern New Jersey. Living in Georgia post-college. I'm pretty laid back and live a quiet life, but I'm also that guy that won't stop pulling pranks or trying to crack bad jokes during work meetings. I don't drink any alcohol, and I prefer to eat healthy and stay fit.
My hobbies and interests are: playing soccer, snowboarding, ping-pong, tennis (beginner), running/training for the annual Peachtree Road Race 10k in Atlanta, Personal Finance, Budgeting/Saving/Investing, Real Estate.
My travel interests are mostly around my interests in snowboarding, hiking, 10k/half-marathon races, or volunteering (related to nature, animals, or childcare).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interested in increasing my yearly travel - both domestic and international - while at the same time, hoping to open up my place for fellow couchsurfers interested in my area.

Interests

I absolutely love playing soccer (not good - just recreational) and snowboarding (intermediate - still learning). I also love playing ping-pong (table tennis) and I also want to get good at tennis (beginner, need lessons).
I eat mostly healthy and run to stay in shape - I have been running the Peachtree Road Race 10k in Atlanta every year since 2010 - to keep me motivated. I enjoy talking to others and helping others have a better life - and I feel like I have a good grasp on personal finance (saving, budgeting, investing) and real estate investing. My professional career has been in technology (Mostly Sofware Engineering, Consulting, Sales Engineering). I am trying to improve my Spanish so I can more comfortably travel to countries and volunteer - I did a volunteer trip to Guatemala at a Childcare Facility in 2015 and it was an amazing experience (even though I struggled with my Spanish). I love working with kids and also doing home repair/improvement work.
