About Me
Hi! I'm Takahiro from Japan. I am now traveling around New York City for my future dream. I'm so interesting art and education around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my good friend, Sevgi, introduce me to this fantastic website.
Interests
Art, Education and Voluntary works. I am going to build an NPO which makes people, especially children, excited about learning things. While I was teaching at private tutoring school, I found teaching and learning are not enough to fascinate children with learning no matter how hard we teach because some of them totally fit other things like sports or drawings, except studying. However, even such students show us interest when we show them something interesting or exciting things or ideas connectted to studying. Some don't like studying English but they were willing and managed to read the children's book"Frozen" in English. Others don't like calculating but they made their best for the test sheet painted with pictures of Pokemon or Youkai watch.
Through these experiences and discovery, I thought children get eager to learn when they find some other interesting point in addition to studying. Sometimes it's not directly related to the study but in the end they become excited to do the things. I think that is something same with "Art".
I came up with an idea of building an NPO where children can find interests to study or learn things, getting stimulation of art.
So my interests are mainly Art and Education so far.

Music, Movies, and Books
I often listen late pop musics. Also I like Japanese piano musics like Joe Hisaishi and Ryuichi Sakamoto. I love novels, especially mysteries and fantasy. That kind of stories always give me brand-new ideas and perspectives of things. I don't usually see movies because I'm so easy to get in the characters and story that my eyes hurts after watching them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had been teaching children as a private tutor till last March since I was the second grade in uni, for four years. Teaching is the best way to learning and children are always make us notice new things and keep our motivation for every daily life. Those days are my amazing things I've done and I will do again.
