About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world, learn things about other people and cultures and always be young and free!

ABOUT ME

I am full of life and love to do new things and meet new people from all over the world! I know who I am and am not afraid to be myself.
I love the outdoors- hiking, camping, exploring, just being out there experiencing natural things...
I also absolutely love sports- in particular watersports; swimming, surfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding and waterpolo.
I am really easy going and can adapt to any lifestyle- I love to party but I also like to chill out and read books, etc.
I'm an optimist, I have a huge smile and enjoy every minute of my life... it's too short not to!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we have been given the gift of life and it would be a shame to just live it without experiencing it and travelling to all corners of the globe.

I try to say yes to every opportunity that presents itself to me! You never know where it may lead!

My favourite quotes are:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the things you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour, catch the tradewinds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover"

"The world is a book and those who don't travel only read one page"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be travelling over Canada and America from September to January 2013 and would love to couchsurf if I am able to! Once I get back to Perth and get my own place I will definitely be having CSers stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I am just starting out couchsurfing- it was recommended to me by 3 German people who I taught a surfing class to in Perth.

I spent a week couchsurfing in Alaska with my brother and we had the most amazing host who helped have an absolutely awesome time! Went hiking and met a whole bunch of other couchsurfers when we went digging for clams! Was so amazing and I'm definitely hooked!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Vancouver as an exchange student at university-dancing on Granville street with 10,000 other people while it snowed all over us

Doing the Polar Bear Swim in 6 degrees C water on New Years Day at English Bay in Vancouver

Working as a lifeguard at a beach resort in Okinawa, Japan

Drinking a very interesting Japanese drink with some locals- warm sake poured on top of a fish at a tiny little tavern in a little country town in Japan

Seeing moose on the side of the road and salmon jumping up a waterfall in Alaska

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to swim or surf and I also speak a bit of Japanese and Italian so I can teach you that too! If you welcome me into your home I would be more than happy to help out in whatever way I can- cooking, cleaning, etc, or even just a good chat or person to chill out with or try something new with!
I would love to learn new things (I would really love to try ice-climbing or glacier hiking) and I would love to hear your stories about travel experiences!
