About Me

I'm a student attending Doshisha University in Kyoto since 2011, and almost done my study so am going to graduate soon and will be moving to Tokyo April in 2015.

I was born and raised in Nara Pref. Japan, where has such a lot of beautiful landscape and very wild animals around. I'm a pretty much country guy and respect nature a lot. So everyone whom I've hosted, I've toured them to very local places and very relaxing sightseeing.

I am an adventure lover, always seeking interesting people and enjoying every single moment with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

・Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm work a capsule hotel in Kyoto, and have seen many foreigners couldn't find any place to stay. So I decided to start couchsurfing to help people like them. And this is kinda paying forward to those who helped me while I was backpacking around Europe. That's why I'm on couchsurfing.

・COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a few people in my house in Nara (not through Couchsurfing tho). There's been an Australian guy and British couple at the different time. I took them some local places which they'd never been to without me, and had them to experience something very local and something they don't in their hometown. That's what I like backpackers to experience while their journey.

Interests

"Too many to name..." This is a common phrase. But I try to put as much as I can because this'd be a lot of help to understand me, hopefully.

I love traveling abroad, have done backpacking around Euro. In Denmark and Switzerland, I stayed my friends' house and was taken to a lot of 'untoured-like' place, met lot of locals and found a beautifulness of the fact we could communicate each other even our english was not perfect. Experienced a variety of lifestyles and learned how to respect them. I'm sure I'd be travelling around even a day before I die. Well, I am just that kinda guy.

I like to dig out some new music through SoundCloud or Spotify, sometime indie records website. Listening to a lot of music, Hip hop, Electro, R&B but mostly Indie music of different kinds. Playing acoustic guitar and bass guitar just for fun because of my brother who plays drums. Check this out if you wanna see my brother playing drum in his band , ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCH714cAtzg)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indies but listen to almost all kind of music. For rock bands, I would say; Smallpools, Foster the People, DMA's, Everything Everything, The Fratellis, KeroKero Bonito, MisterWives, etc,,, I'm also into DJs, trackmakers; like Kaytranada or Larrykoek.

My most favorite movie is definitely 'the perks of being a wallflower'.

Speaking of books, I'd love to read whodunit-kinda book, the very mystery, crime novels of Miyuki Miyabe. I also like Haruki Murakami, I read his book constantly. His book is very philosophical and beautiful in terms of his description and expression. I like that in his book even voluptuous scenes turn out to be pretty natural by his wording of a sentence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

・Have taken a class to learn tea ceremony in Kyoto (still doing it)
・Have lived in Vancouver CND for a year and experienced lots of incredible things
・Have done backpacking around Europe for a month visiting my European friends around
・Have organized an cultural event in Japan, hosting rock bands and DJs, placing an exhibition of street artists, and gathering more than 200 people
