About Me

I love travelling, meeting new people, staying active, exploring new places, and experiencing local cultural events/ traditions. A few years ago, I quit my corporate job in NYC to move abroad to Asia and become an ESL teacher in Vietnam. Living and teaching in Hanoi, VN for two years was the most life-changing, eye-opening, and incredible experience that changed my outlook on life. I became way more adventurous and started driving a motorbike in VN which I NEVER thought that I would be able to do!! I started traveling to more off-the-beaten path destinations, understanding different cultures, and having a more positive/ grateful mindset. I absolutely love meeting new people, especially while travelling, exploring new places, and having unique experiences. I love playing sports, exercising, doing yoga, learning new things, and going on adventures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch-surfing because I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing new places with locals, and exchanging stories/ skills. My favorite part about traveling is making connections with people from all over the world and being able to visit them or host them in different places. While studying abroad in Santiago, Chile for a semester I met many people who told me about their couch-surfing experiences, and I was amazed by the stories they shared with me, and the hospitality offered to them. I couch-surfed for the first time many years ago in Hong Kong and had the most incredible experience. Since then, I have couch-surfed in London, Taiwan, and Lisbon. I hope to couch-surf in more cities/ countries and start hosting travelers when I have a more permanent residence myself.
