ABOUT ME

I am currently a student at Barnard College in New York City. I was born and raised in L.A. which, despite the reputation, is a wonderful city. I don't, however, see myself going back there. New York is far too addicting. And has a wonderful and diverse music scene.

I am an Urban Studies major with a concentration in sociology. I could do a lot with the information that I am learning in college but I may just become a taxidermist or carpenter. But my interest in cities and obsession with physical space has landed me in another large city--I am currently studying at the University of Barcelona. Barcelona's got a great transit system and lots of old buildings. It's beautiful and you can smoke anywhere (this is quite exhilarating for an American).

One thing I've learned: every place you visit, no matter how much you enjoy it, makes you appreciate the other places you've known for their uniqueness. Sometimes it takes leaving a place to realize the impact that it's had on you.

I also want to say (as I may sound urban-centric) that I have an equal fondness for not being in the city. I spent much of my time in the mountains growing up and find that I go crazy if I don't leave the city several times a year.

PHILOSOPHY

Fuck philosophy. It makes me crazy.

Intereses

Flinging small sticks with larger sticks. Flattening coins on railroad tracks. Throwing rocks at cans.
