About Me
I do apologize for the sparsity of my profile but I have an intense inborn aversion to filling out forms... Anyhow, I'm a student of mediaeval history, palaeography, and all other manners of interest, currently studying in Scotland. I have been fortunate enough to travel a great deal in my life and I've lived quite a few places. I used to be a professional dancer, specializing in neo-classical ballet, in New York.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I study history mainly because I like to study people and to isolate the human element in different contexts. But I also like to look in different contexts more contemporarily, which has bred in me a love for travel and, more basically, people in general. I love listening to people talk about things that they love. That, to me, is what makes human beings so exceptional, that even in the worst of times we are able to find something worth living for. As such, I've been sort of compiling a list of these things to which people attach themselves, and I would love to expand the list - to better understand what it means to be human. I think Couchsurfing is a really interesting medium for that sort of study. Also... it's good to have fun with cool people from all over the damn place, and Couchsurfing gives you access to such people.

I've got lots of interesting tidbits, or so I've been told. If nothing else I can tell you about the history of couchsurfing /hosting in different cultures. Oh, the days when a pilgrim needed only their stories to get some shut-eye and some mead.
