I am just one of the regular weird people. I am also into recycling and green power. My main hobby is genealogy which is how I found my connection to Janis Joplin and someone named Elvis whoever he is. I am also on face book if you want to find out more about me. I am currently involved with the fight against Monsanto.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few times, planning on doing more surfing this yr, and I host other surfers. I also attend local meetings when I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent three nights in Cleveland, Oh couch surfing while attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to Janis Joplin 11-14 Nov 2009. Took a trip to D.C and Richmond, Va 5-10 Jul 2011 Also surfed in Atlanta, Ga and Nashville @ Memphis Tn.

So far all my couch surfing guests have been great. My first surfers were Cecilia Gisolf-Keller and Husband Frans, from the Netherlands, for one night 19 Feb 2010. They were real nice people I enjoyed thier visit very much. I also enjoy keeping up with them on FB. Since then I have hosted 21 more times (see my photos). My most interresting surfers were two bicyclist (Mike and James)riding cross country, James is writting a blog on the trip. The ones I enjoyed the most were Bianca and Josh from the Yukon, they spent two nights so I had more time to spend with them. Besides belonging to couch surfing Bianca and Josh belong to Wolfing (Volunteer helpers on organic farms("WWOOFers") choose the hosts that most interest them and make direct contact to arrange a stay usually a week or more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent time in the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong & Japan while in the Navy. While in San Diego I took pics one summer of the making of a cement Yacht.
