About Me

ABOUT ME

I have been very lucky in my life to have stumbled across some of the most engaging, most intelligent and most amusing people in the world, as far as I am concerned, and am always looking to expand that global social circle.

One of my reasons for trying out couch surfing in the first place was to meet new people from all over the world with different life experiences. I think that the best way to learn about a new place is from the people that live there, and couchsurfing seems to be one of the least intrusive and most enriching ways of accomplishing that "goal" while traveling.

I've been living in the Netherlands since 2011, and have learned to merge a slightly hedonistic lifestyle with my distaste for authority by studying (migration) law (sounds ironic, but it isn't...)

PHILOSOPHY

"I rise in the morning torn between a desire to save the world and a desire to savor the world. This makes it hard to plan the day." - E.B. White

"We didn't know it was impossible, so we did it!" - Quebec Student Strike 2012

"Never going home!" - my friends and I

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm open to any kind of surfing (hands-on or hands-off) with open minded and friendly people, but I'd love the opportunity to learn about a place and its hidden gems from my hosts and spend time with them, if they're willing! Hosting will come too, one day, probably soon, when I've graduated and finally have some space in my head to host properly!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Let's just say that the first person I ever contacted on Couchsurfing has now become a very close friend and I've moved to the country in which I first couchsurfed. CS has (indirectly) changed my life, and I hope that as a member of this community, I can contribute to those types of life-changing experiences for others!

Interests

People! People have so much to offer by way of experiences, stories, opinions. I think if I really thought about it, all my interests would have people at their nuclei.

And of course, life's pleasures: laughing, eating and making delicious food, films reading, theatre, deep conversation, daydreaming about life's possibilities, and dancing late into the... morning? afternoon? following day?
