ABOUT ME

I am beginning to feel comfortable in perpetual change. I have done and many things in these twenty years, and am really excited for the future. I think more than anything, music is a driving force for me. Music of many different flavors. It is like food for me. Sometimes something really simple like granola bars is all I need. Another night might call for something super spicy, perhaps to the point where it alters my state of consciousness! I have found light in the practice of yoga as well, and want to deepen that for the rest of my life. Ways of life from previous days and culture mean a lot to me. I think it is because the idea of God has been twisted and turned so much in my life, but for others it wasn't so difficult. They didn't even necessarily call it God, you know? So to see how other people related to the world, and how their consciousness interacted with it, is very precious to me. I think we need to stop consuming culture, and create culture. In the words of Terence McKenna, this is shit-brained this kind of thinking! I say this in good fun though. While I think we have a ton on our plate as a species, heading into unchartered waters, I think we have a lot of wonderful forces on our side. Shadows are always threatened by morning light :)

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes I feel as if I am here because I want to be. The world explains this to me. I think the codes of most major religions are correct, but it is silly to me that they try to not let it change. The world is like the Bible I think, the bible on drugs! Ha, no not really, but this is how I think of it. If you want to be fundamentalist, its like your operating system is just a desktop with preloaded files on it like the Bible. You have no updates. You have no Internet connection. I feel like if you plug into the internet, then you have access to new things, but you might just add to the general files you already have. The wonders of traveling, is like having a laptop, and being able to investigate everywhere you go. The kicker, which is where we are now, is basically the iPhone. Being plugged while mobile and global. There is a serious joy to understanding. I like to skate along the fringes of thought. I don't trust thought barriers anymore. I can see it in the world in front of my in things like what I speak of above. There's no room for that anymore. And with love as your main source of fuel, there's nothing too scary, too difficult, too awesome. The world is ours. I believe that someday as a species which plays an effect on pretty much every aspect of this planet, we will embody, or mirror the beauty, intricacy, and inherent goodness that this planet is. The earthship. We are hauling ass through space. Three-eyed, intergalactic, space travellers or war mongering, greedy, materialistic, 5 year olds?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Andreas Kroon from Holland came and stayed with some friends of mine in Colorado. He was about our age and just had wonderful stories to tell about his travels in America. He didn't hear about Couch Surfing till he had gotten here and made it all the way from NYC to Denver through CS2. Wonderful kid. Was great to meet someone our age with such similar interests from Holland. He couldn't have spoke better about his experiences, and it made us all very happy.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The Rebel Alliance Jam at the Sonic Bloom Festival in Winter Park this year. It was a collaboration between Michael Travis, Jamie Janover, Aaron Holstein, Steve Kimock, Jason Hann, Sasha Butterfly Rose, Anahata Sound, and Lynx. It was one of the most intense explosions of creativity I had ever witnessed, perhaps even more tantalizing than any String Cheese show I got to experience, which is a monumental task.
