ABOUT ME
Between the two of us we've seen a lot of the world. Now we want to see the rest of it together.
The cool thing about couch surfing is that the world can come and see us too.
About anna: she likes the most to be comfortably silent, but sometimes rambles too much for someone who is supposed to be a professional listener. Takes guilty pleasure in reading â
PHILOSOPHY
ANNA: I admire people who urge themselves to â
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We hosted some great people in our home in Toronto, and will now do the same in Scotland. Our couch is smaller, but travelers are just as welcome.
We also had a 7,000 km biking trip around midwest US, and were lucky to stay with two awesome individuals who were kind to host us on a very short notice.
Interests
Motorcycles, anthropology, computers, SCUBA diving, paragliding (alas, only theoretically), travel, hiking, mingling with festive crowds, street performances, being introduced to new music, languages (alas, only theoretically), creatures imagined and real, dancing, surrealism, marital bliss.

Music, Movies, and Books
ANNA: the ninth gate, lock, stock and two smoking barrels, trainspotting, the exorcist,
the fifth element, stocker's dracula, meet joe black, pulp fiction, the matrix, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, fightclub, my neighbour totoro, the four rooms, the pillow book, dune, sleepy hollow, Felliniâ
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Anna: so hard not to sound all National Geographic when filling this section…Being treated from demon possession by a Sufi man in Cairo or going head forward off the raft through a whitewater river rapids rated 5, both were very cool, but the go on par with talking with strangers on a night train crossing Siberia, and humming tunes with them in the morning.
Joe: Collects experiences, not stuff. Danced on Hadrians wall, the great wall and the Berlin wall; ran the extra mile; Just when I thought I'd discovered all the amazing people on this planet, I found a couple more.
Teach, Learn, Share
You probably think that people live in the same world but tend to view it differently because of “culture”. Anna can explain to you why people, in fact, have one culture but live in different worlds. The story will also entail a jaguar and may be a couple of wombats. Joe can teach the Zen of motorcycle maintenance, the differences between cuts of meat, and why some people spend taxpayers money tracking eye movements with high end equipment.
