Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking to meet locals and fellow travelers everywhere! I'm still pretty new to Madrid but if you're looking for someone to wander around El Retiro or El Rastro give me a ring. I'm happy to chat to anyone looking to visit the Greater Philadelphia Area (where I've spent most of my life) and London (where I've spent the better part of the last eighteen months). I can't tell you anything about Kings Road or what the kids in Chelsea are drinking, but I can tell you all about how to find single malt scotch on sale, what cinema you can go to and see an all night marathon of the Alien Quadtriology, and a great BYOB Indian restaurant in Angel.
Get at me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing's been arranged here so far, but I'm a wanderer and I wander around, around, around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Six years ago I had the great pleasure of attending summer school at Oxford.
While I went to study, what I really learned was how to dance, and how to taste whisky.
My last night there is burned into my brain as one of the best experiences of my life. --And what I can remember is dancing, with women, with men, with my hair soaked and heavy with sweat, and the scent of our own odors mingling with that of old wood and recent drink. And I can remember finally graduating from knowing how to drink whiskey to learning how to taste whisky. It was the first night I would ever taste an Islay malt, and a man I would later idolize taught me to hold the water of life on my tongue and then slowly pull it in over my palate to savor every drop.
I have loved to dance and drink Laphroaig ever since.
