I'll also add, that the 90% work I do is Charity and/or Non-profit related...So I don't necessarily make bank but I get to feel good at the end of the day.

I'm actually terrible at reading books,
my mind wonders too much... So usually I end up reading a lot of Little Compendiums, Like; "Lies my teacher told me", "The Lives of a cell", "An Underground Education", "Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite" "The Holographic Universe", "A Brief History of Time", "Your Action World" (I don't know if that counts as a book though) "RankinWorks" (probably not either)
....however I did really enjoy everything I've read of Orson Scott Card and Douglas Adams.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
