Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION: Travel to at least one country on each continent by the age of 35 {only Antarctica left}!

I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, relaxing, and spending time with friends & family! I LOVE learning languages and meeting people from different countries. Photography is a hobby I indulge in when traveling. Also, I am a bit of an ice-creamaholic. Seriously obsessed with it…I can eat ice cream all day, every day!

I'm not the most talkative person but I really do love meeting new people. Going out is fun but I prefer bars over clubs (I can't dance :[ unless it's Bachata...and only then barely haha ) and ice cream over everything else. When I visit a new place I like to see the touristy things because they typically have something to do with the history of the city. I also like to do things that aren't so mainstream, just to get an idea of what life for a local is like.

PHILOSOPHY:
Hakuna Matata
Money can't buy happiness but it can buy Ice Cream, which is pretty much the same thing.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To me, couchsurfing is more than staying at someone's house for free. It is about creating friendships with people from all over the world! I like to think of it as a networking site where each host is culture fanatic like myself and we learn from each other things you'd not normally learn about staying at a hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Mai Yer (check out her profile!) and I couchsurfed for the very first time in Milan, Italy. It made the trip so much better. Our hosts during the trip were more than we could have imagined! Every trip we took together after Italy (5 other countries), we couchsurfed and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Intereses

Culture, TV shows, music, languages, food (though I'm a bit picky), karaoke, travel, the list goes on!

Traveling is a huge part of my life. My main motivation for going to college was knowing I could study abroad. When I discovered my college offered a program in Cross-Cultural Studies, which requires one semester abroad, I instantly declared it as my major.

One of my favorite pastimes is going to concerts. If I could go to to one every month, I would be the happiest person alive!

Música, películas y libros

Any type of music except heavy metal. Huge into Country music right now...really. I also like Indie Pop a lot. I go through phases haha.

One of my all-time favorite movies is August Rush. "You know what music is? God's little reminder that there's something else besides us in this universe, a harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars."

I also like - in order from shortest to longest title:
Spy
In Time
Get Hard
Lets Be Cops
A Little Princess
Voces Inocentes
Shun Li and the Poet
The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Hector & the Search for Happiness

Algo increíble que he hecho

Old response: "Seeing the different ways of life every time I travel to a new place. Studying in Spain this semester has allowed me to travel to countries that I've only dreamed about going to before. I cannot choose one experience over another as THE BEST but being in Europe has definitely changed my life!"

New response: Living in CHINA. Never in a million years would I think I'd be living and working in China. This is my SECOND year!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I like to learn languages. Spanish, Italian, & Russian in particular but I love learning phrases in any language. Not swear words though. I also want to learn how to play the guitar, skateboard, and rock climb. They just look like fun!

I can teach some phrases in Spanish...not super interesting but its something! Also card games, I know many card games.

I can share my viewpoints, talk about things going on in the US and my experiences.
