About Me
Hey I'm Tamara, constantly excited by new things and people!
UPDATE: I wrote a song a while back and finally just released it!! Please check it out xoxo A lot of the people in the music videos I met through couch surfing!
Things that make me happy include slacklining, surfing, rock climbing, dancing, music and acro yoga.
I just spent 4 months in the states and Europe and couch surfed a heap. I totally loved it! I'm back in Auckland living at home for a while so unlikely you can stay over but I'm keen to meet up or go away camping for a weekend!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have recently started using couch surfing, and I have been having so much success!! You are all so amazing and lovely and I have made so many friends already.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love chill guitar (Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Xavier Rudd, Ben Howard etc), New Zealand reggae (Fat Freddy's drop, Katchafire, Six60, Drax Project), those old school awesome people like Elton John and Queen, anything with Jazzy vibes and basically most music that isn't heavy metal.
I recently read the book about Yvon Chouinard (creater of Patagonia), "Let my People Go Surfing" and was majorly inspired!
I like watching documentaries or movies based on true stories. The Dawn Wall was an awesome one, ooh the Imitation Game and the Danish Girl I also really enjoyed. And Chernobyl that was so good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I spun fire at a slacklining festival
Teach, Learn, Share
I recently learnt how to weave flax! I can make a flower, a bracelet and a basket :D
I also bought a travel guitar in Colorado so would love to teach you a song or two.
I love rock climbing so if you are ever bored let me take you climbing :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great New Zealand music and movies!
I am super into sustainability and the environment. I recently adopted a vegan lifestyle and have been loving it! If you're interested I'll happily talk about the planet for hours. I know the word vegan can often scare people away but it has been a pretty amazing change for me in 2019! Ask me any questions you might have :)
