Overview
About Me
I'm Tamara Carrillo, a 22-years-old student from Mexico City, who had the crazy idea of traveling and loved the experience (I know, right!).
I'm studying right know communications. Hopefully I'll end up working at a radio station. I'm a curious person who loves meeting people and listening to their stories. I love reading, music and writing as much as I love doing sports and meeting new places.
I lived at Lyon, France a few months and that experience left me with this big wanderlust. But until I have the chance to travel again, I'm expecting to host some travelers.
On weekends, I usually spend time with my family, my boyfriend or with friends, but I whenever I can, I like spending time with travelers and helping them around in the crazy Mexico City.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started on couchsurfing 'cause I love traveling and I think that the best way to really get to know a place and culture is by meeting people.
All the philosophy behind couchsurfing for me is perfect. A community of helping others. I had a great experience while I was at Europe and hopefully I'll be ablo to give back some of the things I received.
Interests
As I've said, I'm a curious person. I'm interested in art, literature, in music, in visiting new places, learning from other cultures. I want to finish my career in the area of journalism and radio, so I kind of have this enthousiasm to discover new things and stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. My favorite band is Green Day; however I listen from Metal music to Pop. I think I have quite a variety in that aspect.
Movies: anything that enters in the description of fantasy, sci-fi, epic.
Books: I read almost anything, from short stories to novels. However, my favorite genre is fantasy.
Also, I'm a big fan of TV series. From Game of Thrones to Friends.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in a public radio station in Mexico, and I've gotten the change to go to a lot of increible concerts and festivals, and to do amazing interviews!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I love the most of it is learning through the eyes of other people. I can share with others is a little of languages like spanish, english and french. Also I play de guitar (not an expert, but I know the basics).
Also, why not, a little bit of Mexican culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help to practice some spanish. And if any host wants, I can share a little of mexican culture.
And of course, there will always be a place in my country for any time they want to visit Mexico City ;)
