About Me

Hey there!! :) I'm Tamara (but I prefer people to call me Tami). I'm 21 and I'm doing a BA in International Relations in Buenos Aires (Argentina). I grew up in a city in the northern part of Argentina called Posadas which is close to Paraguay and Brazil (so I can sort of understand portuguese) but I moved to Buenos Aires for school.
I consider myself a very independent and (in my opinion) kind of a friendly person :p. When I was in high school I went on exchange to the USA for year with Rotary International, where I graduated in a high school in the state of Pennsylvania. I am currently doing my second exchange in Istanbul (Turkey) thanks to the partnerships that my home uni has.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just a few months ago I crossed the Atlantic ocean for the first time in my life to leave the Americas and come to Istanbul in Turkey to spend a semester. I was amazed by the difference in cultures between the two countries. Turkey is definitely an amazing place where occidental and oriental culture mix (thankfully I was blessed to travel around the country and know a bit more about it). Anyways! The thing is that I've been left with the desire to keep exploring more cultures, so I've decided to extend my stay on this side of the world and travel through Europe and the Middle East. In the way I would also love to have the opportunity to meet more people from different places and cultures (which I think Couchsurfing could give me as an opportunity).
