About Me

Hey,
I'm Tamara, 21 years old. Currently I'm on a bikepacking trip, cycling through Denmark and south Sweden. Although I usually camp, I'd love to stay with some locals because during my last travels I figured out that it's simply the best way to get to know the people and the culture of the country.

About me: I finished high school in Germany two years ago and will start studying Biology in October. The two gap years I took I used for several travels, internships and finding out what I want for my future. When I'm at home in Cologne I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and doing sports, e.g. bodyweight training, climbing and biking. I am vegetarian with a vegan preference - don't worry, I won't annoy you with that topic :) I'm interested in figuring out a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. It's still a long way but I think every little step is helping to let this planet become a better place for all the living beings on it. I'm very interested and quite passionate about climate change and conservation and it's what I want to work with in the future. My friends would say I am a responsible and deliberated person but also very fun. I like talking, laughing, singing and dancing - even if I'm not good at it :)

In my opinion travelling is the best thing you can do to get to know the world and yourself. I experienced people who travelled the world as being open-minded, relaxed and kind. So I look forward to meeting you!

In the future, when I'm finally home for a longer time and hopefully moved out, I'll start to host travellers myself to give all the kindness and help back that I received during my travels :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me it's about meeting awesome people, sharing stories and knowledge. Being hosted allows me to experience the local lifestyle and the culture of the country - and often to have the most fun and remarkable times with people who have been strangers before.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading books and I also enjoy a good movie every now and then. I like the genres fantasy, romantic and comedy. But recently I'm more into watching documentaries and reading books about all kind of psychology stuff.

I don´t have one favourite singer or music genre. I just listen to the radio or playlists and as I do so I listen to many different types of music. Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable about the music I hear because for me it's more about the emotions in it than about it's background.

I really love listening to a piano or a guitar, sadly I never learned to play them by myself. It would be great to meet someone who can teach me a bit :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My six months in New Zealand were the best time I ever had in my life. But I also created unforgettable memories in Namibia and miss this country and it's nature a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

A friend and my sister taught me two things I will never forget:
If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try.
Enjoy every second!

What I Can Share with Hosts
