Overview
About Me
I quit my career in neuroscience 5 years ago because I was not happy doing animal research. It's been quite a journey since working different jobs to find out what makes my heart happy. I've been a teacher, an operations assistant, and I ended up working on two different farms on the west coast (California, Washington). Farming is the best way of life I have found and I miss it and hope to return someday. I now work as a finance assistant and finally got too bored and restless, so I am setting out into the world again.
I am very social and love to meet new people and hear their stories. My degree is in anthropology so I am instinctively interested in other's lives. I prefer low key hang outs at coffee shops or dive bars to partying. I want to explore the world and learn all the ways of life there are. I also would like to learn 4-5 languages before I turn 40.
At home I am a mixed media artist (abstract art depicting emotions lately), an avid reader, and love to practice yoga (yin is my favorite). I have been trying to cultivate a consistent meditation practice but have not gotten there yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be traveling Europe alone for October/November 2019 and am hoping to meet new friends to experience cities from a local point of view.
