Привет! Hello! Bonjour! Ahoj! My name is Tamara, but I prefer people call me Toma :) I`m 21 years old and I study politology at university in Saint Petersburg, which is really beautiful russian city. Originally I`m from Omsk, Siberia, what is right in the middle of Russia if you`ll look at map.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I moved to Saint Petersburg, I started to travel more often than I did it before. Firstly because Saint Petersburg is way more closer to Europe, which is usually my destination. Besides, now I`m eager to travel as much as I can because travelling is what gives me a real inspiration.
Couchsurfing gives travellers truly great opportunity to travel around the world and spend money not on accomodation but on real emotions! Couchsurfing is a new experience, hospitable local people and brand new way to meet cultures and countries what is really inspiring!

Interests

I`d been doing classical ballet for 10 years and now I`m really into it - I`m not dancing anymore but I`m highly interested in ballet history. My biggest dream is to see my fav ballet "Giselle" in all world famous theatres.
Few mounth ago I`ve started to take film photos. I like the whole process of choosing the shots, taking pics and waiting for results. There is something special in it.
I`m also collecting pins with cities I`ve visited and with which I`ve felt in love.
Besides, I`m collecting rare books of poems. Now it`s only russian poets in my collection but I`m alway searching for something like that in antique stores.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different music - from classical to rock one. Here the list of what comes to my mind at first: Chopin, Radiohead, Tame Impala, John Lennon, Coldplay, The Smith, M83, The Shins, Placebo, The Kooks, etc...
As for movies currently my fav ones are films directed by Zach Braff: Garden State and Wish I Was Here. Also love films with Audrey Hepburn.
I love reading books! Among my fav ones are Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Solaris, Jane Eyre, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Martian Chronicles...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For now it`s my exhange semester abroad!:)
Once I was donig yoda at the top of one mountain in Russia and it was just amazing!
Hope my list will expand throughout my life and may be with the hepl of Couchsurfing too:)

Teach, Learn, Share

I was teaching Russian language for 3 mounth while I studied in CZ, so I`ve learned how to do it properly :)
I`m good at cooking so I can share my fav recipes (Russian cuisine especially).
I can share my ballet and yoga experience.

We can do morning/evening yoga together if hosts are doing it too:)
