About Me

Hello whoever is reading this! My name is Tamara and I'm from Mexico City, currently enrolled in an exchange program at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands, as I’m living with roommates I can’t offer any couch, but I’m up to giving whoever is interested a cool city tour! I consider myself as a very energetic person, charismatic and enthusiastic about life and all the opportunities that we are able to get everyday!

I'm very grateful for getting to know this platform because I'm really interested on two important things that I've been able to find here: getting to know new people and travelling

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in connections and Couchsurfing really gives us the opportunity to connect with people all over the world with some similarities but also many differences and that's what I love the most because I think it's really important to learn about each person that you get to know in your life, you can learn many things, work on your tolerance and get focused on the important things!

Music, Movies, and Books

My Spotify's playlist is a very good mix of my emotions haha, I don't have an specific favorite style of music and I'm always open to find new artists!

Although I have my favorites like LANY, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith... among others

My favorite movie is "10 Things I Hate About You", also I consider myself as a Disney lover so every movie they have is a YES for me! I'm really into comedy, romantic and chick flick style, also as my mood changes I like drama and suspense

I like to read many diverse books, from biographies to novels, right now I'm reading "I almost forgot about you" by Terry McMillan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going abroad for the first time in my life!

Definitely this time of my life is full of challenges and emotions, going far away from my home and my family has been of the most amazing, difficult and exciting things I've done, every place I've been has showed me how small we are and how wonderful life is!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you spanish if you are interested, I'm a very patient person and I love to hear someone my language and also I'll be up to learn yours!

I think with just knowing people you get to learn a lot, but I'm really interested on getting to know your culture, the way you think, your dreams, your hopes, your language and the place where you live!

Sharing is always a very enriching experience, so I'll be happy to share the way I think with you and also listening to yours, I like to cook so we can prepare something while we are talking and then have an amazing dinner

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge and my experience, as I said I really like to cook and I believe that mexican food is one of the most amazing and tasteful foods in the world (of course I always like to taste new things)

I also can share with you the most important thing I have, and that's me! With my heart and my mind I'll let you know the way I have been living my whole life and what travelling, working, studying, etc. has given to me
