About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Happiness is a verb, get busy!

ABOUT ME

Well, I am a pretty easy going German girl who tries to make the most of every single day. My name is Tami and I am 29 years old, living in Regensburg. I am vegan and I love food, especially the sweet stuff. Thogether with my sweet heart Max, I run the plant-based and gluten-free e-commerce chocolate shop LA MARA. Everything is handmade, fair trade and super yummy! I love my job and for me it's definitely a dream come true. While traveling we love to explore the different cuisines and the local lifestyle.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a very positive and happy person, always tries to see things in its best ways. There is always an advantage in every disadvantage, you just have to find it! Life is great and every single day is a pleasure. Get awake and grap those opportunities which it offeres it to you. Later on you will regret the things which you haven't done in your life, not those which you've done.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot of places all over Australia and Newzealand while I was traveling together with my friend Eva in 2014. It was great fun and I met a bunch of amazing people, everyone different in its own way. I enjoyed it a lot as in my opinion it's the best way to travel around. Without couchsurfing my trip would not have been that great. I reckon it's always the people who make your trip worth while. Couchsurfing is the best way to catch up with the locals and experience the real way of living of the country. I love it. Since than time has passed, but my boyfriend and I still love to catch up with locals. When we remember places we have visited, we always remember the people who were with us. It's wonderful.

Interests

I love baking and cooking (well, I reckon that's the reason why I have chosen to become a pastry chef), scuba diving, surfing, swimming, hiking, dancing (I am doing Bollywood Dancing which is heaps of fun) and of course traveling and see the world. I love adventurous stuff such as rafting, skydiving, caving, kayaking and so on. That's where you really feel like living your life ;) No risk, no fun. I am always keen on trying new stuff and there are so many other things I havent tried to far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh there are a couple of really wicked things that happened to me the last couple of months while I was traveling. It was an amazing experience working in a Buddhism monastery in Nepal for about a month. Reducing your every day luxury and get to know the real meaning of life. I did a skydive close to Queentown (New Zealand) which was amazing as well! I found myself enjoying riding a jet ski as well ;) You just can't stop smiling while riding this! :) There are so many other things which have been pretty awesome, but just ask me if you are keen on listening to it ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always keen on learning different things. If you never try, you'll never know. It's fun to try different sports as well. I love to learn about food. Food is an endless issue and there is always something you don't know about it. I am happy to share my knowledge about pastries if you are keen on.
