About Me

I'm a western scientist in love with the eastern philosophy. I love all beings on the Earth and I love Love itself.

I am a Graduate Student in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta. To make a short description of what I'm doing there (despite collecting some boring Data), you should start with making one deep inspiration and expiration.
I mean, just Breath!
Well Done!
And now I can explain what's it all about. As you all know we all breath, but how the breathing alters our perception, living performance or whole body experience we still don't quite understand. That's why I'm keen on learning neural networks of breathing and deepen my knowledge in consciousness and brain development topics, in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and craving for new experiences. Exploring Canada is my new goal of life since I'm stuck here for nearly 4-5 years and except for doing my boring Ph.D., I am going to have some fun. While I'm pretty new here (moved in January 2019) I would like to travel across the whole continent a lot and therefore surf some couches available.

Music, Movies, and Books

My life is soundtracked by Sigur Ros. This is the band which has sounds, melodies, feelings, and language for all and every circumstance in my life. I love Iceland because of them. How can one not love the landscape that inspires this kind of music to be born? That's why I visited Iceland in 2018 and lived 10 days of my Dream there, walking and traveling the land I've seen a million times with the band's tours, movies, and music videos.

I love a lot of different styles of music as well. I like discovering new music, therefore listen to everything that hits my ears, starting from trash to some amazing stuff I've discovered while doing like this. Some other artists worth mentioning here are Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Moby, Bjork, Nich Cave, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and well, I guess there are a lot more.

The list of movies I love is also huge. The ones I remember at this moment are movies directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, Federico Fellini, Daren Aronofsky and the one particular I just remembered is Truman Show.

I'm not a big fun of Tv-Series but the one I really loved is The Black Mirror. Maybe because I'm a bit skeptical regarding our High-tech future and the movie takes all my fears into motion.

Book is a topic we can discuss with a delicious cup of tea because listing all of them in this description makes no sense for me. I love reading books about mindfulness, philosophy, sci-fi, science, and maybe some drama ))
The one I recently read (actually, listened as an audiobook during the experiment )) was Karlos Kastaneda - The Journey to Ixtlan and it was truly amazing, with all life teaching hints from Don Xuan. Love the book from Thomas Mann - The Magic Mountain as well. For me, it's a manifesto of the complexity of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied Medicine ))

Teach, Learn, Share

Can share positivity and smile :)
Can teach a little bit about Neuroscience ))
Can share my perspectives about life and listen to yours with great interest. I hardly believe that authentic communication is the thing that the world needs right now and we can then make it a bit better place with the everyday effort.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some good vibes and knowledge I've gained about the inner or outer world, in terms of science, medicine or phylosophy.

Countries I’ve Visited
