About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming a documentary photographer.

ABOUT ME

After a lot of search I realized I always wanted to become a photographer. As an avid hitchhiker with more than 50k hitched kilometers I love meeting new people and listen to their stories, that kind of attention also informy my photography. I love photographing complete strangers I met on the streets and then become friends.
My recent favourite assignment was to photograph one of the main events of Pope Francis' visit to Hungary last April. I could get very close to him and his humble and fragile presence has touched me deeply.

PHILOSOPHY

I take pictures in order to learn to see without camera. This quote's original version came from the photographer Dorothea Lange. I am looking for the hidden structures of reality.
Also, long-term hitchhiking has brought up the question of trust countless times. Sometimes I can be so pessimistic but in hitchhiking I always realise that the uncontrollable reality is much better than I assume. The same hidden reality as above which I cannot control but only to accept without resistance. I love the taoist term of Wu Wei, the art of not forcing. The art if sailing instead of the art of rowing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Sofia by a wonderful Bulgarian family through which I could get a taste about the magical Balkans. Afterwards I surfed in Thessaloniki by a nice policeman who asked me to not to tell who he is. Anyway, he lived in a small flat on the top of a block on the mountain so you could see the whole city and the sea.
You can write to me, I may be able to host you!
I appreciate proper requests and tend to decline copy past requests.

I stayed a week in Tehran at a lovely family in the august of 2016.
I hosted two amazing and thoughtful Russian girls and two awesome Italian siblings. And a lovely French couple.

Interests

I love talking about art, travels, about moments when we could overcome ourselves.

Teach, Learn, Share

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
― Christopher McCandless

I have become a good cook and can teach some good photography tricks or shoot a good portrait of you. I am also shooting on film.
