About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See as much as possible in the short time I have available

ABOUT ME

I am 25 year old guy. I am a third year medical student at the University of Rochester. I'm gay and live my life openly.

PHILOSOPHY

Never regret any decision you make because when you made that decision it was the best thing for you. Only look back and learn from your mistakes, but do not ever regret them.

I think travel is the most important thing in the world. There is so much in the world to see that is impossible to see all of it, but you should definitely try. Being exposed to different cultures can help you to learn so much about your own and yourself.

Finally, as for what I want to do with my life. I want to help people, As I said, I am fascinated by public health and I would love to be able to help make the world a better place through public health.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will hopefully be traveling and staying with people and maybe hosting some people in my home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just started, so not much yet but hopefully I will have lots of great times!

Interests

Academic:
I find the Brain fascinating and hope to eventually become a neurologist. I also have a strong academic interest in different religions, especially where they overlap with government. Recently I have also really gotten into public health and I am thinking about getting an MPH.

Other stuff:
My favorite thing to do is travel. I love to read, relax, watch good movies, hike, see new things, meet new people, bike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love most movies, I am not too much of a critic but can really just sit down and watch a movie and take it for what it is

Books: Where can I begin, I guess as for genres I love dystopias, science fiction, and political thrillers (all mildly related I suppose haha). As for authors: Isaac Asimov, Dan Brown, Joel Rosenberg, Stephen King, just to name a few

Music: Right now I am really into anybody that is a really good vocalist. I have been listening to a lot of Regina Spector, Adele, Lana Del Ray, and Florence and the Machine, but I also love Coldplay, Skrillex, Arcade Fire, Avicii, FUN

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to the Western Wall on Shabbat and hiked Masada at Sunrise.

Teach, Learn, Share

Judaism has this really nice Idea called Tikkun Olam. It essentially means that their are small pieces or shards of G-d's divinity scattered throughout the world and it is our job as human beings to restore all of those pieces to G-d, and in the process make the world a better place.
