About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make meaningful connections as I see and learn about the world!
ABOUT ME
I love to learn, laugh, love, live. I want to do all those things in as many countries as possible while I meet as many wonderful people as possible. I love meeting new people and making friends around the globe. I do not travel to "tour." I travel to experience life in different flavors, accents and languages.
I am a teacher, newlywed and mother of a well-traveled college student..
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each person on the planet is connected and that everything we do affects the world. I want to affect the world in a positive way.
"Let the world change you and you can change the world."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf and host so that we may find understanding and connections in this fascinating world we live in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite memory is when I hosted 3 Danes in my house once. They were friends of friends of friends. I loved the concept of hosting students who were trying to see the world. I still have fond memories of them, and I was inspired by their globetrotting nature.
Many people have stayed on my couch or spare room. I always open my home for anyone who may need a place to lay their head.
My stay in Sao Paulo would not have been the same had I not surfed. I am a believer in this project and prefer to not do this any other way!

Music, Movies, and Books
Any book by Paulo Coelho--he's my favorite.
I love music--Classical, Rock, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Samba, Argentine Tango, Reggae, Rock en español, Hip Hop, etc. and dance to all of them!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen and experienced compassion, humanity, joviality in difficult circumstances, love and people actually living into the namaste concept. These experiences were better than any vista I've seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that I can share my experience from various perspectives, including that of a single mother, an LGBT person, an African American, and a life-long learner.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer hosts a friendship, great conversation, a dance lesson or two and peace and quiet.
