About Me

Hi! I'm Angela. I'm currently working as a microbiologist for a probiotic beverage company. I work to save up PTO days and money to travel :) I'm a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Mozambique. I love adventures and trying new things. I am an avid bucket lister. I want to see as much of the world as I can, whenever I can. I'm not very good at sitting still and doing nothing. I am very independent, I don't mind exploring a new place or trying new things by myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couchsurfing from friends and then I couchsurfed for the first time when I was traveling around Southeast Asia by myself and it was an amazing experience!! The couchsurf hosts I've had and the couchsurfers I've met have made my trip even better. I really like the concept of couchsurfing. You learn so much more about the country and its culture and you get to make new friends in the process.

Interests

I love to volunteer and travel!! I'm an American Red Cross volunteer since 2002 and I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique 2013-2015. I've done volunteering abroad in 7 countries now. I like outdoor adventures, sightseeing, and hiking. I'm an aerialist, I enjoy taking aerial silks hoop and pole classes. I also love cats, doing martial arts, baking, DIY projects and arts and crafts :)

One of my favorite activity to do when I'm bored is look up places to visit someday and things to do on google, instagram and pinterest. This is probably why my bucketlist keeps growing! haha
