Overview
About Me
I live in the suburb of DC and have an educational and professional background in computer engineering and love all things nerdy! When I'm not in DC, I use my spare time to travel the US and other countries around the world. I have a cat named CJ who's the most friendliest and vocal cat you will ever meet!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's always exciting learning unique things about new places when I travel. I prefer to avoid typical touristy areas and would rather get the authentic experience of a new place from someone who lives there. More so than just meeting and learning from locals, I've had the opportunity to make lifetime friends and even host them in my home city when they come visit.
Interests
I love to be outdoors enjoying good food, good music and good company. :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all things sci-fi! I prefer live music and pretty much any genre. My go to is usually 90s acoustic alternative or RnB if I'm in the mood to sing. For dancing, prefer live Latin music like salsa and bachata. I also love EDM, hip hop and pop music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say the coolest experience for me was being able to see the Milky Way the clearest I've ever seen it from a high-elevation point in the Andes mountains in Cusco, Peru.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm all about connecting with people who are similar or even different from myself. Because the moment I find myself in a position where I don't know something, there's an opportunity to learn and grow. Humility and an open mind is key to learning and growing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my technical expertise, fix your broken computer, give you photography tips or take professional quality photos for you. If you play guitar or piano, I'll sing along with you. I also have a knack for cooking/baking Italian, Indian, Vegetarian, American and Mexican cuisines and would gladly share my recipes. :)
