Overview
About Me
For anyone under 18 I'm also a full-time chef, mathematician, psychologist, referee, and bus driver (the family van), doctor/surgeon, video game expert, and sometimes a miracle worker.
I've always enjoyed traveling but wasn't able to really explore much until a few years ago. There's something about traveling that is intoxicating, speaks to my soul, and infects deeply.
Now I'm a full-time wanderlust (...and a mom).
My husband's Couchsurfing account is https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/brian-wesley
We usually host through his account as our primary connection to the Couchsurfing community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a life-long educator, I believe you can't learn everything in the classroom or the home.
Mark Twain was given credit for saying - "Never let schooling interfere with your education."
I Couchsurf to learn, experience new cultures and enlarge my circle of friends.
Interests
I enjoy photography, cooking, beaches, chocolate, and the new adult coloring craze.
Board games are a must! My favorites are Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kittens, Apples to Apples (or Quiplash), Mexican Train Dominoes, Phase 10, Dominion, Clue, Azule, 7 Wonders, Kill Doctor Lucky, Grandpa Beck games, and many many more.
I spend several hours each week writing for our family travel blog WesleyAdventures.com
It's always fun to pick out the next place to go.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: 70's, 80's & 90's, pop, country & love songs. Nothing too deep.
Books: Fantasy (Brandon Sanderson), LOTR, and lighthearted Mysteries (Leslie Meier) are my preferences.
TV: My favorites are How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Psyche, Unbreakable Kimmy Schidt. If given the chance, I could pretty much waste an entire week watching anything HGTV (House Hunters, Flip, renovation, etc).
Movies: When it comes to movies I'm a romantic; You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty in Pink, any lighthearted girly movies. I also love martial arts, action, mysteries, and my husband has indoctrinated me with the Sci-Fi world so I've grown to love the Star Wars, Star Treks, etc of the world. With four kids, I'm just glad to watch anything that isn't animated.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've taken my kids to visit 48 states. I feel it's important for my kids to understand and appreciate the country where they are from.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you come to my home, I can share a love for the Rocky Mountains, and help you plan your trip.
If time permits, expect a warm meal!
